In this exciting position, you will be responsible for the stable operation and further development of business-critical security platforms in a highly sensitive environment and ensure that security works at all times when it really counts. You will break down and resolve complex incidents in the extended second level through to the third level interface - in a structured, fast and sustainable manner. At the same time, you actively drive forward modern security architectures in the areas of firewall, cloud security and application protection and turn technical complexity into robust, practical solutions.
You have a sound IT education (HF/FH or equivalent practice) and several years of experience in the engineering and operation of enterprise security solutions, particularly in the area of firewalls, proxies and network infrastructures. Your technical understanding goes deep into network architectures, communication flows and dependencies, complemented by experience with web application firewalls and cloud technologies such as Azure, Entra ID or Microsoft 365.
You are experienced in working in operational, change and incident environments and maintain a calm, solution-oriented and pragmatic approach with a clear focus on implementation even in critical situations. Very good German and English skills as well as a team-oriented, yet independent way of working round off your profile and make you a reliable force in the operational security environment.
This position is clearly operational in nature and deliberately goes beyond conceptual, governance or pure project management tasks. We are looking for personalities who like to get stuck in, take responsibility for implementation and drive forward technical topics on a day-to-day basis with pragmatism and impact.
